Pete Daffern leads Clairmail as CEO, bringing more than 20 years of operational and business leadership experience in the technology sector. Prior to joining Clairmail, Pete was CEO of technology company Purisma, where he directed the company's strategy and operations with a focus on growth through valuable solutions, customer service and business development initiatives. D&B acquired Purisma in October 2007. Before Purisma, Pete was President of AIM Technology, a provider of applications for contact centers. Previously, Pete was Vice President, Worldwide Business Development, Alliances and Corporate Development for Vitria Technology. Pete also spent more than 10 years at Seagate Software, where he held numerous management and sales positions, including General Manager EMEA.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics (Honors) from Sheffield University in England.
Steve Anderson is Clairmail's Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all aspects of the company's Finance processes and systems. Steve brings a record of success in financial management of venture-backed and publicly traded technology companies. Prior to joining Clairmail, Steve was CFO of Good Technology, where he managed all aspects of finance, accounting and administration for the venture-backed provider of mobile messaging and collaboration solutions. Before Good Technology, Steve was CFO of Trigo Technologies, a provider of product information management solutions. Previously, Steve was CFO of Capstan Systems and Navis, LLC, and held executive positions at Metricom, Inc. and Arthur Andersen.
Steve holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Joan Beardsley is responsible for the worldwide implementation of the Clairmail mobile banking solution for customers. Joan brings a track record of successfully running professional services for technology companies. Prior to Clairmail, Joan was Vice President of Professional Services for Mulesource/Mulesoft, a leading provider of an open source enterprise service bus. Previously, Joan was Vice President of Professional Services for Certus Software, where she grew the Services organization and revenues by 2 times quarterly and achieved greater than 90% maintenance renewals. Before Certus, Joan has held the executive title of Vice President of Worldwide Professional Services at numerous technology companies, including Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Scopus Technology and OpenVision Technologies.
Joan holds a Bachelors degree from Gettysburg College.
Todd Clyde is responsible for the strategy and management of Clairmail's worldwide sales organization. Todd has over 20 years of sales and executive management experience in both technology and professional services-related industries. Prior to Clairmail, Todd was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Alliances at Purisma, a leading provider of solutions-driven master data management (MDM) software for enterprises. Previously, Todd was Vice President of Sales and a founding member of DigitalThink, an
e-learning technology and services company. After an Initial Public Offering in 2000, Todd continued to build and lead various sales functions, including International Sales, Channels & Alliances, Product & Field Marketing, and Sales Consulting. Prior to that, Todd spent 13 years selling and managing professional IT consulting services including ten years with Andersen Consulting.
Todd holds a B.A. in Management Science from U.C. San Diego.
Dave Galloway leads Clairmail's technical support and consumer adoption teams, bringing over 20 years of experience in the areas of customer support and loyalty. Prior to Clairmail, Dave was Vice President of Customer Care at Crystal Decisions, where he led the technical support and customer loyalty groups. Following the acquisition of Crystal Decisions by Business Objects in 2003, Dave became Group Vice President of Customer Support, leading a global team of over 500 people.
As a member of the executive team at both Crystal Decisions and Business Objects, Dave has extensive experience with all facets of the software industry.
Gordon Simpson is Clairmail's Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Gordon brings over 30 years of success in corporate information technology and deep experience in all aspects of enterprise application and technology architecture. Prior to Clairmail, Gordon was a CTO at SAP Labs, where he was responsible for architecture as well as the development of the ecosystem for SAP's Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture and Business Process Platform. Previously, Gordon was Deputy CTO at BEA Systems, focused on Weblogic Integration, and Principal Application Architect at Vitria Technology, a leading Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) provider.
Gordon holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Lanchester Polytechnic Coventry, England.
Mark Slippy is responsible for leading Clairmail's Human Resources function. Mark has over 20 years of experience in Human Resource management, including work in early stage startups with QuadraMed, Bidcom and Wink Communications. Mark has led the Human Resource effort at the senior executive level since 1996 and brings a HR tool set focused on supporting growth, rewarding innovation and maximizing the potential of every employee. Mark's commitment to creating a "great place to work" has been central to his HR strategy in the past, and he brings that same focus to Clairmail. Prior to Clairmail, Mark served as the Human Resource Director for GMAC ResCap's Wholesale division, where he helped grow the division from 200 employees to 2,000, and, as part of the management team, supported the company's market position growth from 13th to 5th in 5 years.
Mark holds a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Davis and a Masters in Organization Development from the California School of Professional Psychology.
Carl Tsukahara is responsible for leading Clairmail's marketing team. Throughout his career in Silicon Valley, Carl has uniquely combined strong technology domain expertise, tactical and executive roles in marketing, strategy and product operations with on-the-ground experience as a sales executive, sales manager and software developer. Carl has held multiple senior management roles, including the initial Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Vitria Technology, category creator for Enterprise Application Integration, Head of Product Marketing for Oracle's Database Operation, and Head of Field Marketing for Oracle's Americas Operation. Carl has also served as CMO for 6 other companies, in both staff and interim roles.
Carl holds a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Kaj van de Loo is responsible for leading the development and quality assurance of Clairmail's leading mobile banking and payments platform. Kaj brings nearly 20 years of experience with enterprise software, both as a customer and a vendor. Prior to joining Clairmail, Kaj was SVP Technology Strategy for SAP, leading the company's transformation in four technology areas: Consumption/Mobile, On Demand, Virtualization/Cloud, and In-Memory. Previously, Kaj held a number of Engineering leadership, Product leadership, and Product strategy positions for a variety of large and small enterprise software companies.
Kaj holds a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Uppsala in Sweden.
