Clairmail Receives Top Rating from InfoWorld Test Center Editors and Analysts

NOVATO, April 3, 2006 — Clairmail®, Inc. today announced that its flagship product, ClairAccess™, recently received high marks in a comprehensive review by the InfoWorld Test Center. ClairAccess' "Very Good" rating is reserved for companies whose products receive a score of 8.0 or higher based on a list of criteria most relevant to enterprise buying decisions.

In its review, InfoWorld lauds ClairAccess' novel approach and value in simplifying mobile application access. ClairAccess enables any handheld device with email, SMS or IM to have rich, two-way communications with back-end systems and web-based resources — providing users with instant one-click access to applications and services. InfoWorld notes that "this is a good approach for several reasons. Users don't need to load software on their mobile devices, and the IT staff isn't burdened with onerous reworking of desktop applications to shoehorn them into mobile devices." The review concludes that with ClairAccess, "there's no need for additional software on handhelds or rewriting apps, making this a quick deployment and cost-effective solution."

"Our methodology for testing products is designed to give enterprises the information they need to make smart purchasing decisions and more effectively evaluate products," stated Doug Dineley, InfoWorld Media Group's Executive Editor for the Test Center. "This ratings' program gives IT buyers a quick sense of the top enterprise-ready products on the market today. Receiving a 'Very Good' rating assures IT professionals of a product's quality and market readiness before they make a purchase."

"Numerous companies have tried to crack the problem of mobilizing web applications. Most approaches involve downloading complex applications onto a mobile device. However, this method is inadequate because it is costly and time consuming; at a more basic level, the way people use applications on a desktop does not translate well to handhelds," said Joseph Salesky, CEO, Clairmail. "InfoWorld's recognition that 'ClairAccess succeeds where more complex mobile application access methods have essentially failed' reinforces our belief that Clairmail's groundbreaking solution has made accessing important information while mobile as easy as just one-click."

Clairmail has invented a unique mobile technology solution that enables users to access information within enterprise applications with a single email or text message. By focusing on the precise pieces of information that workers typically access on a daily basis, Clairmail's solution enables workers to remain efficient while away from their desktop. Clairmail's transactional messaging server makes it easy for companies to mobilize user access for a fraction of the time and cost of complex alternatives that require development, client software or application changes. With ClairAccess, enterprises can empower their mobile workers and millions of their customers with an easy to use and always available connection to vital information.
